On 5 June 2018 R2HC’s annual Call for Proposals opens. R2HC is a public health research fund aiming to improve health outcomes by strengthening the evidence base for public health interventions in humanitarian crises.
The R2HC programme is the product of a strategic partnership between the UK Government (DFID), the Wellcome Trust, and the UK National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) with Elrha overseeing the programme’s execution and management.
With topics ranging from mental health to non-communicable diseases, R2HC has funded over 40 grants and awarded almost £14 million to organisations working in humanitarian health since 2014.
Through this year’s Call £3.5million will be available for collaborative research aiming to improve public health outcomes in humanitarian crises. Shortlisted applicants are also eligible for £10k seed funding to support proposal development and strengthen research partnerships.
